Our Story - how it all began... Our business began nearly 11 years ago in beautiful Falmouth, Massachusetts - on Cape Cod. Soon after, we began decorating in the suburbs of Boston. In 2001 we relocated our business to Tampa, Florida. We have been enjoying a wonderful clientele here in the Tampa Bay area for nearly six years. From 2001 until early last year, our company was known as Tampa Interiors. We wanted to change the name to reflect more of what our real message, and goal, is. Therefore, in March of 2006, we incorporated as Decorating The Real World, LLC. Our progressive interior decorating firm has many years of combined professional experience in a variety of design disciplines involving residential homes and apartments throughout Tampa Bay, Cape Cod and Boston, Massachusetts. We believe that well-designed Tampa residences tend to have elements of openness, calm, warmth and timelessness; they are understated, but exciting, and very inviting. Due to our climate, families tend to spend a lot more time outside in this part of the country. We enjoy decorating the outdoor spaces of homes as if it were an extension of the interior. We use all weather furniture, fabrics, lighting and accessories that make the outdoor spaces just as comfortable and stylish as the indoor. Working in both traditional and contemporary styles, our firm has created projects with the functionality, suitability and the enduring classical styling to suit the individual client's requirements. One of the advantages of having first worked on Cape Cod and around Boston is that we have a solid background in the Northern style of decorating as well. This has been an invaluable asset for us working with families that have since relocated to Florida but still want to keep a part of their interior design style from the Northeast. In keeping with our evolving business goals, we added another name to our business. In early 2007 we changed our corporate name to Tampa Bay Home Stagers LLC,. Our primary client demographic has been home-owners looking to prepare their homes for sale by enlisting the help of professionals. We have been Staging homes throughout the area for nearly six years. As recognition and the popularity of Home Staging continues to grow, so do our goals. In late 2006, after receiving many requests, we began offering Staging Training geared specifically toward Florida-Style living. November 2006: Exciting news for our company! We have just opened our second location in Falmouth, Massachusetts. As a result of a recent visit to Cape Cod by General Partner, Linda Francis, we realized we needed to expand. During her stay in Falmouth she met with many of our previous Decorating clients who were very interested in Home Staging. Currently, there are no viable companies offering professional Staging services on the "Upper Cape." We are excited to have Cape Cod Home Stagers as part of our woman-owned corporation.
